Biography
Gerri's three areas of practice are diverse. The first is her
work in health law, dealing with claims litigation and provider
contracts. She represents health insurance companies in claims
litigation and providers of all sizes in reimbursement and contract
matters. She also does a large amount of employment work,
representing employers and employees handling discrimination cases
and EOC claims, benefits issues, negotiating, drafting, and more.
Then there is her work in adoption; as an individual, Gerri
probably handles the second greatest volume of private adoption
work in western Pennsylvania.
She enjoys all three areas, especially the onsite training she
does in her employment work. She admits that the adoption work is
closest to her heart, stemming from her own experience of adopting
a daughter.
Gerri is passionate about reading, cooking, movies, and traveling.
She decided she wanted to be a lawyer at the age of eleven,
inspired by her hero Robert Kennedy ("He helped people, and I want
to help people," she remembers thinking).
