Sammy Sugiura Jr. is a member of the Labor and Employment and Litigation and Dispute Resolution groups at Metz Lewis Brodman Must O’Keefe LLC.

Sammy has a particular emphasis in employment and labor law, with extensive experience in finding creative and cost-efficient solutions that are tailored to meet his clients’ needs.

Sammy’s primary practice involves counseling employers throughout the country on a variety of issues in the areas of labor and employment law. As part of that practice, Sammy has advised clients in numerous industries on matters involving their employee handbooks, restrictive covenant agreements, employee contracts, and other issues relating to compliance with state and federal laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Equal Pay Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, National Labor Relations Act, Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

In addition to his advisory experience, Sammy has successfully represented clients in all phases of the litigation process, including responding to administrative agency investigations, mediation, arbitration, trial and appeal. In total, Sammy has taken more than 90 jury and non-jury trials to verdict.
