Linda Barent’s practice consists primarily of commercial real estate matters including acquisitions and sales, leasing and development.

Linda has significant experience with negotiation and documentation of acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, subleasing, development and due diligence, and was previously engaged for over 10 years as Vice President and Senior Real Estate Counsel at one of the largest post-secondary education providers in the country with over 100 subsidiaries.

Representative Matters

  • Represented post-secondary education provider in:
    • The leasing of school locations between 5,000 and 200,000 square feet in multi-tenant buildings and build-to-suit arrangements
    • The sale of seven properties in company’s real estate portfolio for approximately $100MM with leasebacks of one to ten years
    • Master lease agreements with apartment complexes for student housing
    • License agreements with students living in student housing
    • Commission agreements with real estate brokers
    • Facilities management agreements with service providers for majority of company locations throughout North America
  • Represented large manufacturing company in ongoing acquisition and divestiture of real estate
  • Represented industrial development corporation in acquisition of Brownfields land in partnership with local foundations, and general real estate projects including government loans and grants
  • Represented shopping center developers in connection with leases and infrastructure development
  • Represented restaurant as tenant in various lease transactions throughout Pennsylvania
