Metz Lewis Brodman Must O’Keefe LLC will host a free educational seminar entitled, “Data Security and Privacy: Concerns and Solutions” on June 13, 2012.  Data breaches are becoming a daily news event and virtually every business is vulnerable to this emerging threat.  It may come at the hands of a hacker hijacking personally identifiable information for profit, a rogue employee out to sully a company’s reputation, or a “hactivist” brandishing malicious software to advance its agenda.  It is every company’s responsibility to protect its own data, as well as its customers’ and its employees’ confidential data, or risk facing substantial regulatory fines, penalties, and legal liability.

What should your company know about data security and privacy regulations?  What are the latest hacker strategies?  What should your company do in the event of a data breach?  What are the reputational costs of a breach?

Mark Camillo, Security & Privacy Product Line Manager from Chartis Insurance, will moderate a knowledgeable panel to answer these questions and discuss the legal and commercial implications of a data breach.

The event will be held at The Sheraton Station Square, 300 W. Station Square Drive, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Breakfast and registration will be from 8:30-9:00 a.m.  The seminar will held from 9:00-10:30 a.m.
