Yesterday, a federal judge blocked the Department of Labor’s regulation to increase the salary threshold for an employee to be exempt from overtime pay.

This means that the new regulation requiring a salary of $47,476.00 will not take effect on December 1, 2016.  For the time being, the salary threshold of $23,660.00 will remain in place.

The firm will continue to provide updates as they occur. If you have any questions, please contact Rachel Felton at rfelton@metzlewis.com or 412.918.1173.
